He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Benjamin "Monk" Miles, Jr. and Lillian Odessa Matthews Miles; his wife June Miles; his sister Annie Merle Miles Rachner; his daughter-in-law Mary Barton Miles; and his brother-in-law Addison Prescott.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Miles and Grant Miles (Karyn); his grandchildren, Austin, Mackenzie Miles and Alex Poole (Lana) of Tallahassee; his brother Truman Miles (Brenda) of Cordova, TN; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Rachner of Martinsville, VA, Ann Cope Prescott and Lynn Cope (Faye) of Chipley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
