He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Suggs and Cora Suggs. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Suggs of Chipley, FL; his children, Marty Suggs, Jr. (Brenda) of Panacea, FL, Melinda McCormick (Carl) of Panacea, FL and Sabrina Purvis (John) of Bonifay, FL; his stepdaughters, Michelle Sullivan (Joel) of Panama City, FL and Stacy Burn (Chris) of Panama City, FL; his sister Kathleen Peters of Panama City; and his grandchildren, Trey Suggs, Jacob Gray (Amber), Jonathan Gray (Jenna), Dinson Purvis (Savannah), Emily Suggs, Jeremiah Hill, Cody Hill (Brittney), Brian Hill (Erika), Jordan Burns and Brandon Burns. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
