William Sherwood Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Sherwood of Chiefland, Florida, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though William has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, W. S. Lovelace and Velma Green Lovelace. He is survived by: his daughter Claudia Calhoun (John); his sisters, Sherry Ragsdale, Wanda Jones (H. F.), Cecelia Walker and Janice Dunnam; and his children, Susan Lovelace and William S. "Woody" Lovelace. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Old Town United Methodist Church (25633 SE Hwy 19, Old Town, FL 32680). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
