It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Newcombe Wasson in Chiefland, Florida, born in Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on October 30, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, S. E. Wasson, Jr. and Miriam N. Wasson; his siblings, Samuel Edward Wasson, III and Miriam Ann Britt; and his daughter-in-law Dina Roberts Wasson.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Cannon Wasson; his sons, Stewart Wasson (Kari), Tony Wasson (Andrea), Charles Williams and Justin Wasson (Jamie); his grandchildren, Josh (Hannah), Clenton (Brooke), Meagan (Eric), Clay (Shelby), Kendon (Trisha), Dale (Jessi), Bridget and Parker; his great grandchildren, Colton, Rylee, Hadlee, Brighton, Kynlee, Silas, Jax, Luke, Brooks and Grace; his brother Pat (Sandy); and his pet Nugget. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
