He was predeceased by: his children, Dianne Faith Rudd Leynes and Shane Owen Rudd; his father Samuel Oscar Rudd, Sr.; and his siblings, Samuel Oscar Rudd, Jr., John Allison Rudd, Hurley W. Rudd and Ida Jeanette Rudd.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Robert L. Leynes, III (Savanna) and Courtney B. Leynes; and his great grandchildren, Oliver Owen Leynes of Crawfordville, Florida. and Chloe Elaine Leynes of Crawfordville, Florida.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, 2nd floor, Bethesda, Maryland 20814.
