She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosetta Fort and John Fort (Geneva); and her siblings, John Wesley Fort, Mary Kersh, Corinne Wint, Rosie Lee Fort and Tyler Fort.
She is survived by: her children, Otis Charles Gipson (Margaret), Tony Gipson (Carolyn), Edna M. Gipson, Bernard Gipson and James Thomas Gipson; her sisters, Loneat Brooks and Velma Moore; and her husband James Gipson. She is also survived by five children, 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one precious great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:55 AM at the South Park Baptist Church (5830 Van Fleet St, Houston, TX 77033). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Houston Memorial Gardens (2426 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581).
