She was predeceased by: her parents, John Benjamin and Mittie Mae Armstrong Newton; her husband John T. Wells; her siblings, John Ira Newton and Louise Dockens; her grandson Trevor Benjamin Wells; her son-in-law Don Grant; and her great grandchild Kinsey Williamson.
She is survived by: her children, Claude Benjamin "Ben" Wells (Patsy) of Destrehan, Louisiana, Linda Lister (Joe) of Flomaton, Brenda Sue Hauer of Brandon and Faye Grant of McDavid, Florida; her sister Martha Sims of Century, Florida; and her sisters-in-law, Stella Knowles and Emma Lee Newton. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
