C.; his brother-in-law Ronald Godwin; his grandchildren, Sonja DeLong Hernandez (Mike) of Cocoa, Fla., Christopher Williams of Lake Worth, Fla., Holly Holt Etheridge (Jupe) of Brewton, Ala, Carolyn Holt McHenry (Beau) of Pace, Fla., Wayne Holt (Amy) of Brewton, Ala., Leigh Ann Holt Yeager (Doug) of Grand Bay, Paula Holt Bristow (Ryan) of Tampa, Fla., Scott Whitmore (Laura) of Iowa City, James Whitmore (Joanna) of Fort Collins, Colo., Michelle Wess Jones (Jerid) of Taylors, S. C., Michael Wess (Tamara) of Raliegh, N. C. and Matthew Wess (Sarah) of Greer, S. C.; his great grandchildren, Harrison, Anna, Brooklin Hernandez, Joey Williams, Will, Mary Bailey, Owen Etheridge, William Thomas, Morgan McHenry, Matti, Maci (Connor Roberts), Miley Holt, Carleigh (Kolby Peyregne), Connor Yeager, Chesley (Chase Goalen), Abigail, Emileigh, Lauren Bristow, Katie, Brenton, Jane, Luke Whitmore, Wesley Whitmore, Makenna, Michael, Molly, Maddie, Mark, Megan, Macie, Max Jones, Reagan, Olivia Wess, Elizabeth and Isabella Wess; and his great great grandchild Kyndal Goalen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home (1322 S Main St, Atmore, AL 36502). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel (1322 S Main St, Atmore, AL 36502).
