He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Swift and Elizabeth Swift; and his brothers, Harvey Swift and Ralph Swift. He is survived by: his wife Melba Swift; his daughters, Deni Weremeichik (Tony), Kim Oddy (Ken), Deborah Reade and Felecia Rouis; his grandchildren, Nicholas Weremeichik, Dustin Rouis (Jessica), Amanda Rouis and Deanna Rouis; and his sister-in-law Barbara Swift. He is also survived by Five Great Grandchildren.
