He was predeceased by: his wife Lavonia Talley; his parents, Edgar "Hook" Talley and Thelma Talley; his brother Jimmy Talley; and his siblings-in-law, Eldon Sellers, Bud Amerson, Charles Metcalf, Linda Talley and Sheila Nichols.
He is survived by: his daughter Bridget Matthews (David); his grandchildren, Shane Matthews and Joann Matthews; his brother Joe Talley (Reatha); and his siblings-in-law, Sammy Nichols (Jenny), Richard Nichols, Durward Nichols (Sandra), Roger Nichols (Lou), Ferris Nichols (Crystal), Eunice Metcalf, Myrtice Sellers, Margaret Amerson and Brenda Posey (Steve). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with their children and grandchildren.
