He was predeceased by: his parents, Locke Carter and Maggie Carter; and his wife Carol Carter. He is survived by: his children, William "Mike" Carter (Stevie) of Aurora, CO and Dona Marie Carter of Cape Coral, FL; his sister Lurline Steiner of Huntsville, AL; his grandchildren, Adam, Tara and Christopher; his great grandchildren, Landon and Luke; his niece Marcia; and his nephews, Billy and Larry.
