It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Malcolm Eugene Payne (Cape Coral, Florida), born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. and Lyda (Singleton); his son Malcolm Jr.; and his siblings, George, Harvey and Shirley King.

He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Mary Payne (Christian); his children, Lyda Thompson (Jeff) and William (Marygrace); his daughter-in-law Maite; and his grandchildren, Michael Thompson, Julen, Blanca and Andrea Payne. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
