Edward R. Frey Obituary

As we bid Edward farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Edward is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his mother Nichola "Nicky" Frey (McSwain); and his brother Robert Frey. He is survived by: his father Richard "Dick" Frey; and his brothers, Richard "Mike" Frey (Cindy Gordon) of Limestone, Johnathan Frey (Donna Herron) of Canton, Ill, Charles Frey (Patricia Lowery) of Kankakee, William Frey (Leah Vick) of Kentucky and Daniel Frey (Kelly Glenn) of Rileyville. He is also survived by four aunts, three uncles, one niece, fifteen nephews, one great niece and three great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Kankakee - Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home (1480 W Court St, Kankakee, IL 60901). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at 953 S 9th St, Kankakee, IL 60901.
