He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Powers, Sr. and Dorthy G. Powers; and his sisters, Dorthy "Angie" Wolf and Annett "Nettie" Fairey. He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen Powers; his son Richard M. Powers, Jr. (Jessica); his stepdaughters, Lori Potts (Jimmie) and Enid Wilson; his siblings, Robert Powers (Pamela) and Virginia Gamewell (Steven); and his grandchildren, Trey Potts (Kelsey), Justin Potts (Brooklyn), Jacob Wilson (Marina), Joshua Wilson, Nicole Powers, Bailee Powers Steward, Ronin Powers and Hunter Wilson. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces.
