He was predeceased by: his parents, Coach Merle and Helen North of Jay; and his brother-in-law Don Smith of Fairhope, Alabama.. He is survived by: his wife Dee North; his sister Jean Smith of Fairhope, Alabama; his children, Denise (Scott Carlson), Nikki (Dennis Ball), Wendy (Brian Hirman) and Marty North; and his stepchildren, Terry, Ana Cheatwood, Dana and Ronnie Vinson. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
