He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eugene Ard and JoAnn Ard; his wife Joyce Ard; his son Dustin Ard; his sister Charlotte Benoit; his children, Shanna Ard (Shelly), Carrie Nowling (Wayne) and Chris Cotto (Tolise); his grandchildren, Cody Cotto, Karra Cotto, Nickolas Cotto (Trisha), Cierra Cotto, Triniti Ard, Destini Ard, Caleb Cotto and River Ard; his great grandchildren, Hunter Riley and Raelynn Cotto; and his sisters, Rosemary Simpson, Patty Gould and Melissa Arnold.
