He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hager and Lassie Scott Hager; his siblings, Frankie Hager, Eddie Hager and Ernestine Hager Dawson; and his children, Bruce Hager (Tanya Jackson Hager), Stacy Hager Henderson (Richard Henderson) and Stephanie Hager Nunez (Mark Nunez).

He is survived by: his wife Debra Hager; and his siblings, Jimmy Hager, Sr., Lilly Hager Gilroy, Mary Ann Hager Cook, Irene Hager and Eugene Hager. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
