He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Allen and Frances Allen; his siblings, Norman, J. T. Allen, Ruby Isaac, Ada Barbie, Eula Boone and Bobbie Flowers; his parents-in-law, Robert Creighton, Sr. and Mary Cecilia Creighton; his brother-in-law Robert Creighton, Jr.; his niece Shirley Boone; his nephews, Earl Flowers, Michael Isaac and Todd C. Wilson; and his great-nephew Brett Creighton.

He is survived by: his wife Rachel Allen; his children, Mitzi Locklear (Leon), Janet Crutchfield (Bryan) and Edsel Allen; his grandchildren, Ashley, Dewayne, Megan, Alicia, Stacey, Mitchell, Melissa, Emily and William; his great grandchildren, Gabby, Joseph, Gabriella and Jackson; his siblings, Annie Garner (Jerry), Delito Mayhair (Lloyd) and Orlan Allen (Myra); and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl Allen, Bobbie Jean Wilson (Mark Baird), Rose Creighton and James Leslie Creighton (Janie).
