He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Britt and Malissa Pittman Britt. He is survived by: his sister Clara B. Jackson (Arthur); and his nieces and nephews, Henry L. Broomfield, Barry D. Jackson, Patrice A. Eugene, Sylvia D. Umar and Asmau Umar. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
