He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mehrtens and Dareste Sharpe Mehrtens; and his wife Ethel Mehrtens. He is survived by: his daughter Sharolyn Hoagland (Johnny) of St. Marys, GA.; and his siblings, Bugsy Mehrtens of Bobby Mehrtens, W. J and Skeet Alderman.
