He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Simpson and Gladys Dann Simpson; and his siblings, Bob Simpson, Leitta Rowell and Lola Fay "Suzie" Stafford.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Kathleen Simpson; his siblings, Bill Simpson, Raymond Simpson, Edgar Simpson, Jackie Simpson, Johnny Simpson, Jeanette Giannini and Irene Parks; and his grandchildren, Heather Waters-Dale, Juliana Allen-Waters (Brenda), Kara Brown (Nick), Tara Middleton (Andy Mitchell) and Alex Middleton (Jackie). He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
