He was predeceased by: his parents, W. L. Brown and Edith M. Williard Brown; his former wife Sadie L. Brown; his son Walter Lewis Brown; his sister Francis Brown; and his siblings-in-law, Dean Metcalf and Nancy Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Mae Thomas Brown; his son Brian A. Brown (Tami); his siblings, Welton Brown and Mary Lou Metcalf; his grandchildren, Misty Dailey (Jake), Katrina Foures (Travis), Walter O'Ryan Brown (Justine), Ryan Williams (Ismaley), Miranda Proffit and Sarah Campbell (Rob); and his daughter-in-law Susan Brown Purvis. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.
