He is survived by: his mother Betty Andrews Lucas; his siblings, Darrel Andrew Kirkland (Julia) and Cindi Lynn Carter (Steven); his nieces, Emily Kirkland, Lauren Carter Jones (Ian) and Meghan Carter Smith (Jacob); and his aunt Karen Sisco. He is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to The Arc Nassau.
