It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Gainey Sammons of Callahan, Florida, born in Nicholls, Georgia, who passed away on July 3, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd F. Gainey and Rita Mae Tanner Gainey; and her siblings, Charles Gainey, Daniel Gainey, Guy Gainey, Gene Tanner and Iris Yeager.

She is survived by: her husband Harvey Sammons (Nicholls); her brother Harvey Gainey (Ereveene); her children, Paige Mcmillen (Daren) and Patrick Sammons (Teresa); her grandchildren, Jeremy Golden (Amanda), Quinton Sammons, Emily Sammons and Lindsey Southwell (Ben); and her great grandchild Jase Golden.
