He was predeceased by: his sons, Jimmy Hall and Scott Hall; his parents, Eloise Hall and Robert Rau II; and his siblings, Ronnie Rau and Cindy Studt (Robert).
He is survived by: his significant other Penny; his son Christopher; his daughter-in-law Denise; his siblings, Stephanie Whiddon (Glenn), Marcus Rau (Debra), Kathryn Hartman (Butch), Sandra Thompson (late Jim), Tim Rau (Laura) and Franke Padgett (Terry); his grandchildren, Micah, Micaela, Anna, Nicholas, Aubriel and Chloe; and his great grandchild Angel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
