Monroe Fauldon Whiddon Jr. Obituary
Monroe Fauldon Whiddon Jr., 78 of Callahan, went home to be with the Lord on September 16, 2019.
He was born on April 15, 1941 in Alma, Ga to Monroe Whiddon Sr. and Stella Varnadore. He had the most selfless heart, was always eager to greet you with a smile and funny remark. Many may know him as being Santa Claus for many years. He brought joy to hundreds of kids in Callahan that would stop by for his awesome light display and gift bags filled with toys and candy. He was a Supervisor at the Jacksonville Decking Shipyard where he was loved and respected by all his employees. His favorite part about living in Callahan was the chicken house and how good his chicken girls would treat him.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Inez Whiddon, who he loved with all he had, his loving Daughters, Rhonda Whiddon, Tammy Wingate (Darren), Amanda McCullough (Timmy), Missy Whiddon, 7 grandchildren, Christy Wolf (Nick), Charles Jr Raulerson, Chloe Whiddon, (David) Priscilla Wingate, Darrell Wingate (Macee), Dustin McCullough, Austin Mccullough, 4 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Friday September 20, 2019 from 10-11:30 AM, funeral service will begin at 11:45 at Bryceville Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery.
