She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Thompson and Frederica Tripp Thompson; her husband Jim H. Sawyer; her sons, Michael Ray Sawyer (Deborah) of Callahan, FL and Jimmy M. Sawyer; and her siblings, Gladys Graham, Evelyn Zumwalt, Jewel Yearty, Arthur Thompson, Woodrow Thompson and James Thompson.
She is survived by: her son Chris Sawyer (Joan) of Valdosta; and her sisters, Pauline Mobley of Eastman and Grace Holland (Lem) of Cochran. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
