He is survived by: his wife Earlene Hartsfield Moody; his daughters, Melissa Fowler, Jr. (Marvin) and Ellen Hamilton (Holly); his sisters, Edith Crews and Dorothy Hunt; his grandchildren, Tiffany Raynor, Amanda Popp, John Taylor, Bobby Brooks, Tyler Brooks, Robin Fowler, Marvin Fowler, III, Rosa Fowler, Richard Moody-Fowler, Hayden Moody-Fowler, Russell Moody-Fowler, Melissa Omalee Moody-Fowler, Chris Raynor and Mark Popp; and his great grandchildren, Savannah, Merlin, Lenora, William, Trey, Leland, Brantley, Rozlyn, Christopher, Abigail and Isabella.
