With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaNell Ammons Mitchell of Callahan, Florida, born in Waycross, Georgia, who passed away on September 1, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Willie J. Ammons; her former husband William R. Cooper, Sr.; and her siblings, Louise Allen, Jewell Strickland, Gene Ammons and Larry Ammons.
She is survived by: her husband Charles A. Mitchell, Jr.; her children, William "Bill" R. Cooper Jr. (Joanne) and Lynda Cooper Moutray (Richard); her stepchildren, Chuck Mitchell (Cindy), Shawn Mitchell, Regina Mitchell and Nikki Mitchell; her brother Terry J. Ammons; her grandchildren, Kiri Ann Cooper (Mark), Olivia Cooper Young (Travis), Kaylee Moutray Freeman (Daniel), Emily Moutray Moreno (Rafael), Jacob Mitchell, Ariel Mathis, Chase Mitchell, Carson Mitchell, Landon Theirbecker, Colton Miller and Lilly Miller; her great grandchildren, Grady, Caden, Gabby, Jase, Danielle, Will, Caroline and Tatum; and her friends, Shelia Nieder, Lynda Taylor and Amanda Rogers. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
