He was predeceased by: his parents, Beaufort Bryant, Sr. and Lila Beflower Sawyer; his sons, Michael Ray Sawyer (Deborah) of Callahan, FL and Jimmy M. Sawyer; and his sisters, Opal Giddens, Zell Swan and Estelle Yearty.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Thompson Sawyer of Roddy; his son Chris Sawyer (Joan) of Valdosta; and his siblings, Bob Sawyer of Cochran, W. L. "Strib" Sawyer of Cochran, Tom Sawyer (Jean) of Cochran, Glenn Sawyer of Cochran, Lyndon Sawyer (Ann) of Cochran, Pansy Loudermilk (Joey) of Ellerslie, Florine "Baby" Johnson of Gloverville, SC and Madge Dykes (Jack) of Cochran. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
