He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward McGee and Francis Estelle Sauls; and his children, Mitchell Dunn, James McGee, Jr., Robert "Bobby" McGee, Sr. and Judy Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys McGee; his children, Michele Dunn, Mary Sydnes, Thomas McGee and Edward McGee (Edith); his adoptive sons, Gary DiAngelo (Melissa) and Robert McGee, Jr. (Molly); and his sisters, Nell Glisson and Libby Judson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other extended relatives.
