It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Palazesi of Callahan, Florida, born in Cross City, Florida, who passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Ivvie Sloan; her former husband John Byrd; her husband Dino Palazesi; and her daughter Pat Burton. She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Byrd (Ben), JoAnn Nowaskey (Paul) and Edie Amato (Rik); her grandchildren, Mike Byrd (Robbin), James Byrd, Josh Hester, Chase Hester (Melissa), Ryan Nowaskey (Kelsey), Erin Patterson (Mike), Jennifer Larson (Nick), Katie Willard (Davy), Jason Agee, Thea Agee and Craig Agee; and her great grandchildren, Claire Byrd, Raven Byrd, Trace Hester, Kennedy Hester, Jackson Bennett, Jameson Hester, Sadie Nowaskey, Lucas Amato, Conner Larson, Emma Larson, Avery Willard and Brennan Agee.
