With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emmette Clayton Tharpe of Callahan, Florida, who passed away on June 12, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Frank and Lula McCall Tharpe; and his brothers, William Houston, Louie Grafton and Waylon Milton Tharpe.
He is survived by: his wife Patti; his siblings, Virginia Tharpe Gallopo, Marion Preston Tharpe and Melton Durell Tharpe; and his children, Penny McGowan (David), Beth Middleton, Bill Tharpe (Amanda) and Erica Newton (Rusty). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
