She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Travis; her parents, Bill Burbank and Effie Burbank; her siblings, Edith Pappas, Lucille Barbee, Billy, Jr. and Frank; and her nephews, Peter Pappas and Tommy Burbank.
She is survived by: her sister Charlene Lohman (Floyd); her children, Charles "Chuck" Travis II and Joni Jones Abels (Henry); and her grandchildren, Robyn Mobley (Don) and Chad Tyler (Stephanie). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to the "Nassau County Council on Aging" or to the "Native American Heritage Association.".
