He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Messer and Essie Messer (Davis). He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Messer (Hand) of Bushnell; his children, Cyndi Wilson of Bushnell, Lindy Messer (Betty) of Opelika, Alabama and Jana Beason of Phenix City, Alabama.; and his pet Deog. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
