He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hartsthorn Scott; his children, Lori Scott Marvin, James Strother Scott and Lynda Scott Crouch; his stepchildren, Susan Hartshorn Massey (John) and Christopher Lee Hartshorn; and his pet Duffy. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
