It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert James Grindey (Bushnell, Florida), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 21, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Charles and Pearl Grindey; his sister Betty Melidones; and his son Brian Grindey. He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his children, Eve Overby, Faith Donohue (Jeff), JoAnn Ojeda and James Grindey (Ann); his daughter-in-law Beth Grindey; his former wife Carol Hornbrook; and his caregiver Stacy Hester. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
