He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis VanOosten and Barbara VanOosten; and his sister Deb Mullinnex. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his sons, Rob (Kris), Mitchell, Alek and Zakary; and his siblings, Bob (Cara), Jim (Ann) and Sue (Dave). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
