He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Bryson and Gertrude Turner Bryson; and his children, Larry Bryson, Michael Bryson, Debra Bryson-Hicks and Ingrid Bryson-Whyte.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Bryson; and his sons, Louis Jr. (Joni) and Donald (Candice). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
