She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Frank Updyke and Ethal Vivian Hiakley; her husband Earl; and her sister Ronna Salanski. She is survived by: her children, William Lown, David Hamblen, Tracy Farthing and Anne Hamblen. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
