He is survived by: his wife Mary Debenedetto; his children, Marie Debenedetto and Joe J. Debenedetto; his granddaughter Annie Golden; his siblings, Frank Debenedetto and Connie Debenedetto; and his stepchildren, Robert DelCampo, Philip DelCampo, Dolores DelCampo and LeeAnn Sheridan.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests charitable contributions in Joseph's name be made to Disabled American Veterans.
