He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Sybert and Lenore Sybert; and his brothers, Keith Sybert, Larry Sybert, Paul Sybert and George Sybert.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Sybert; his sons, George Sybert II and Craig Sybert; and his siblings, Alfred, Clinton Sybert (Pete) and Mary Sybert. He is also survived by four grandchildren.

David's family has asked for donations to go to the Wounded Warrior Project in His name to assist the recovery of families of injured Veterans upon retiring home.
