It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Carter Appleby of Bushnell, Florida, born in Plant City, Florida, who passed away on August 24, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Carter and Blanch Carter; her husband Byron Appleby; her son Joel Appleby; and her stepson Steve Appleby.
She is survived by: her son David Gratz (Cindy) of Port Townsend, Washington; her caregiver Gail Lovett of Bushnell, Florida; her nephew William L. Carter (Linda) of Balm, Florida; and her granddaughters, Jillian Hamm and Stephanie Brezanu. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
