He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley and Earlene; and his former wife Denise Seymour. He is survived by: his wife Elisabeth Wilkerson; his children, Ginefer Christy (Steven) and Dustin Pelfery (Erica); his grandchildren, Abigail, Connor Christy, Brock and Harper Pelfery; his stepchildren, Lauren Wilkerson and Aaron Wilkerson (Ashley Espinosa); and his siblings, Gary Pelfery (Cheryl) and Judy Atwell (Robert Vries).
