He was predeceased by: his siblings, Rufus, Carl, Leslie, Johnny, Isola and Alice.

He is survived by: his wife Melba (Tucker); his brothers, Loren Bembry, Drew Bembry and Bill Bembry (Clara); his children, Charles Bembry (Barbie) and Dammie Bembry; and his great grandchildren, Weston and Kyson.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Baptist Church food pantry in honor of Loyd.
