He was predeceased by: his father Harold Casteel (Buck); and his grandparents, James, Ozell Gault of Winchester, Aubrey and Jimmie Casteel of Winchester.
He is survived by: his mother Betty Casteel of Murfreesboro; his wife Julie Satterfield Casteel; his daughter Mandy Dotson of Winchester; his grandsons, Taylor and River; his stepdaughters, Jessica Blitch (Michael) of Winder, Georgia and Amber Lockhart (Seth) of Lawrenceville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Juliea, Brooklyn, James, Lea and Michael, Jr.; and his siblings, Ron Casteel (Rose), Debi Williams (Paul) of Murfreesboro, Terry Casteel (Becky) of Milner, Georgia and Donna Perry (Charles) of Murfreesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
