He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Marise and Ethel Marise; and his daughters, Peggy Head and Darlene Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Irene Marise; his children, James Marise Jr., Randy Marise and Rhonda Marise; and his stepchildren, Beth Childs (Jay), Jeffrey Otis (Debra), Kathy Young (Paul), Lolly Otis and Peter Otis (Tanya). He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Merritt Funeral Home (2 S Lemon Ave, Brooksville, FL 34601). The military honors was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
