He was predeceased by: his father Jimmy Thornton; and his brother Marlon Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Thressa Thornton; his mother Marie Hodge; his children, Waylon Thornton and Wendy Hall (Eric); his grandchildren, Kyler, Dex, Lindsey and Eric; and his sisters, Cindy Dowdy and Donna Milner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
