He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Mudd Sr. and Agnes Barromeo Mudd; his son Richard "Tim" Mudd; his wife Carol Mudd; and his sister Maryanne Ford, Sr..

He is survived by: his children, Pam Mudd of Springfield, Lisa Moreau (Gary) of Jacksonville, Beth Campochiario, Jeff Mudd (Jocelyn) of Jacksonville, Debbie McCashin (Bobby) of White Springs and Butch Oliver (Maryjohn) of Houston; and his siblings, Patricia Lou Gribbins of Lebanon and Charles Lee Mudd Sr. of Placida. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
