With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Delano Stone of Bronson, Florida, born in Parrish, Alabama, who passed away on November 11, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Stone and Lucy Stone; his siblings, Louise Toms, Harold and Robert Stone; and his son Charles Delano Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Goldie Stone (Cookie) of Bronson; his daughters, Tammy Davis (David) of Williston and Denise Stone (Ron McManus) of Bronson; his grandchildren, Shay Potts (Chris) of Gainesville, Andi McManus (Andy Starling) of Bronson and Heath Davis of Gainesville; his great grandchildren, Carsyn Adeline Potts and Hayden Steele Starling; and his siblings, Donald (Eunice), Dale Stone (Suzanne) of Ocala, Bonnie McCreary (Jim) of Bronson, Pat Josie of Gray and Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their children.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a memorial fund for his widow to help defray funeral, medical, and other expenses.
